Digital Calligraffiti is created to catalyse communication with infinite, international, borderless, free messages that bring together cultures and raise awareness on flaming topics. The words have both the impact of their meaning and their physical appearance to achieve so.
Inevitably, one of the projects initial and main focus has been the refugee crisis and the people’s stories. By working together with a group of young newcomers, sharing individually experiences through workshops and collaborated performances, the project wanted to create a moment of common memory and transform these testimonies into artworks.
The first steps were taken during Retune Festival in October 2016.
